Actor, Teaching Artist, Facilitator

Andrea Patterson is an Obie Award Winner (Sustained Achievement in Performance) and Drama Desk Award nominee who’s performed on NYC’s elite stages, regionally, and abroad. Her tv credits include some of televisions most popular shows on NBC, CBS, and Netflix.

As a Detroit native, Andrea attended world renown Cass Technical High School were she learned the importance of theatre in education. Known for its prominent performing arts program, Andrea began to hone her skills as an artist at the age of 13.

By age 17, she was accepted into the Purchase College Conservatory of Theatre Arts and Film.

Upon graduation she performed in various projects while also working with theatre education non profit Creative Arts Team, where she learned the techniques of Applied Theatre. Under the mentorship of NYC’s veteran teaching artists ; Andrea developed an even greater passion for acting. She learned the art of devising theatre to educate, teach life skills, spark important conversations, create awareness, and support social and emotional learning for all ages.

In addition to her work as a professional actor and applied theatre artist, Andrea is the mother of 3 dynamic daughters! She credits them as being her mirrors and for the opportunity practice everything she’s ever learned in the theatre.

Today with over 15 years of experience; Andrea utilizes the transformative power of theatre as an actor, arts educator, and parent. Her unique blend of experiences have culminated into a niche expertise that makes her a thoughtful and compelling force on stage, screen, and in the classroom.
